Spring break at Eagle Rock

The much anticipated next post on my Blog has finally arrived! The topic of todays adventures focus on a day trip to the Royal National Park, 30km's south of Sydney. T'was a grand day for adventure and frolicking in the park. Our party consisted of the infamous Rollerpig, the Jovial CDog, Marco the Deutchman, and myself, the wanna-be-rocker..Bray (recently aka Molene).

After much eating...hiking...sunbaking...and relaxing, we discovered a monument of nature known as 'Eagle rock'. I can't neither not confirm nor not deny that this wasn't the source of inspiration for the Daddy Cool classic "Eagle Rock". I can confirm that it is one BIG Eagle, which as you may have already guessed from the name...is composed primarily of rock (save for a few small pieces of advantitious vegetation)

One other way cool piece of info about this site (a soon to be pilgrimage point????) is that there is a small creek which runs off the cliffs into the ocean here. That in itself is rather boring, but if the winds come in from the sea, they hit the cliff and rise upwards, taking the creek water high into the sky, so that the water acually falls upwards.....

Well for those interested a small video has been made in the hope that it can convey the true feeling of seeing the Eagle rock. Hyperlink to Photobucket is here

Possible vid option is:

Stay tuned for more exciting adventures from "The world that revolves around me".

Sweet update Bray. However, I am disappointed that you put the video on YouTube, knowing that we don't have access to YouTube at the university :(

Well, you know B-Ray, that "eagle" looks more like the head of a turle, or tortoise to me, a la that really big one in The Never Ending Story , but I suppose there is no song (that I know of) called Turtle Rock, but if I find one then you can re-make your movie approriately.....Nice work tho....
